Everyone’s journey to parenthood is unique, and we strive to make this experience as stress-free and comfortable as possible. Whether you need donor sperm, donor eggs, or a gestational carrier (surrogate), our reproductive specialists and team of professionals will help you navigate the process to best fit your needs. LGBT family building may involve intrauterine inseminations or in vitro fertilization, and we welcome the opportunity to help all couples or individuals conceive.

Fertility Treatment for Lesbian Couples
For lesbian couples, treatment is typically intrauterine inseminations (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF) using donor sperm. A consultation with one of our physicians and a review of both partners’ medical history can help determine the most optimal treatment choice. Questions to consider are whose eggs will be used and who will carry the baby.

Treatment for Gay Couples
Treatment for gay couples consists of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and third-party reproduction, which entails egg donation and gestational surrogacy. Beginning with a fertility consultation, your physician will guide you through each necessary step. Required FDA testing and a semen analysis is completed on one or both partners whose sperm will be utilized. Egg donors and gestational carriers can be anonymous or known (family members or friends). If you decide to go with an anonymous donor, Idaho Fertility Center has a substantial number of egg donors as well as an in-house gestational carrier program. Decisions to consider are whose sperm will be used and selections considered for egg donor and gestational carrier.
